Hello

Happy Friday! I thought I would play along with Simon Says Wednesday challenge...anything goes

I played around with the oh so lovely WPlus9 set Anemones. Here's what I came up with...

With the MISTI it is easy to get everything lined up and the exact saturation of colours you want. I layered white pigment ink over top of some of the colours to get a more muted look. I added an embossed sentiment from Winnie & Walter, a strip of black card stock and some blue twine.

thanks for stopping by!

You're Fabulous!

I recently purchased the flamingo layering set by Hero Arts.  It just makes me happy! I thought I would play along with Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge this week..."Think Pink" in honour of breast cancer awareness month. Such an important initiative!

Well nothing says pink like flamingos! Here's my card...

Papertrey October Blog Hop Challenge

With the gorgeous fall weather we have been having, I thought I would play along with the PTI October blog hop. Here's the pretty inspiration photo...

My dad's birthday was on the weekend so I thought I would use a fall theme for his card. Here's what I came up with...

I embossed and watercoloured a few leaves from Leaf Prints and also die cut some Leaf Silhouettes from paper watercoloured for another project. I added a strip of blue glitter to match the Blueberry Sky banner for some contrast.

I can't wait to see the inspiration along the blog hop today!

Crazy Card Party-- Colour

This week at Crazy Card Party, I am up and I want to see everyone COLOUR! It can be markers, pencils, copics, watercolour, whatever.

I have recently discovered the joy of adult colouring books. So I decided to colour up these PTI doodle feathers with my new Staedtler pencil crayons. I set them on a watercoloured background.

I can't wait to see what the other Party-Ers colour this week!

Joyful Tidings

I had a chance to play around with Simon's Clearly Besotted collaboration set Holly Berries this week and decided to link up with Simon's Wednesday challenge..."totally resistible."

I embossed the delicate branches in clear on watercolour paper and then coloured over them with a bright blue Peerless watercolour paint. I just love how it looks like snow covered branches backed by a brilliant blue winter sky. I embossed the sentiment in gold and trimmed the side with some gorgeous gold striped vellum.  Some gold sequins finished it off.

Papertrey Ink October Play Along With Us

These cool nighttime temperatures have inspired me to start into my Christmas cards. And with the great inspiration in the PTI October release, I thought I would "Play Along."

Betsy's snowflake card caught my eye right away. I have been loving all the Doodle sets and I especially love snowflake themed cards.

Here's Betsy's creation...

I loved the look of the Amethyst Allure and Aqua Mist that she used so I watercoloured the background using these inks and layered on a bit of coordinating Peerless paint. Then I stamped a few snowflakes from Snowflake Medley and paired them with a sentiment from Snowflake Flurries.

Looking forward to seeing the rest of the release!

Crazy Card Party-- Thanksgiving/Autumn

This week at Crazy Card Party, Kathryn has set a Thanksgiving/Autumn theme. Makes sense!

A while back I borrowed a gorgeous PTI leaf set from fellow Party-Er Patricia. I embossed the veins in copper and then filled in the leaf colour with distress markers. Such an amazing set! I set it on a card base with some more copper embossing and a few sequins. The sentiment was embossed in white on soft stone card stock...a bit hard to read here but it looks soft and lovely in real life.

I can't wait to see what the other Party-Ers create this week!

Thanks

I have been making lots of fall inspired thank you cards lately. I decided to link up with Simon's Wednesday challenge this week...Halloween Inspiration
Here's the inspiration board...

I love that colour combo and of course the gorgeous trees along the road. Here's what I came up with...

I watercoloured some paper with my new Staedtler crayons (love!) and then popped some glitter leaf die cuts on top. It is hard to see but I also painted some iridescent watercolours on top.  I added a die cut sentiment to finish it off.

thanks for stopping by and happy Thanksgiving!

Crazy Card Party-- Paper Piecing

This week at Crazy Card Party, Rosanne is asking to see paper piecing.    I hope this counts...it certainly involved lots of tiny pieces of paper!

I die cut some leaves from white and inserted the outline part back into my panel. Then I die cut them again from paper I watercoloured with my new Staedtler crayons---love! I carefully placed the watercoloured pieces into the spots in the leaves. Tedious but I love the finished look!

I can't wait to see what kind of paper pieced masterpieces the other Party-Ers create this week!

Thank You Kindly

I took some time this weekend while it was cool and rainy to play at my craft table. I have had this Hero Arts floral stamp set for a while but wasn't sure where to start with it. I was inspired by Yana Smakula to arrange some flowers and leaves around one of the big sentiments. I know I will play with this set again soon!

I thought I would link up with Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge...anything goes!
