Crazy Card Party-- one die, seven ways

This week at Crazy Card Party, Patrica is asking to see a creation using a gorgeous laurel die she generously gifted to everyone. She must be a mind reader, since I have had a laurel die on my wish list for a while now.

I thought it was appropriate that I created a thank you card for Patricia for this challenge!

I used the die on some gorgeous gold vellum that Regan gave me last summer and added some flowers with my PTI Bitty Bouquet set. I also stencilled some dots on the background with texture paste. A die cut bow (borrowed from Patricia...thanks again!) stamped in Delicata finished it off.
I am so in love with this new die. Thank you Patricia for the special gift.

I can't wait to see what the other Party-Ers create this week with this laurel die!

Create along with us!

PTI has a new feature during this month's release called Create Along With Us.

I was inspired by Dawn McVey's colourful leaf card...

And this is what I created using Leaf Prints that I borrowed from my friend Patricia. I embossed the veins in copper penny embossing powder on watercolour paper and then stamped using distress inks.

Hello

Happy Sunday! I needed a little tag for a hostess present recently. So I dug out my neglected Rubbernecker poppy set and embossed the outline in silver. I watercoloured them in with my peerless paints. Love how it turned out! I tied off the tag with some purple seam binding.

Make a Wish

I finally had a chance to play around with new watercolour pencils I recently bought. I coloured in a Donna Downey stencil  and added some water. Kind of cool! I was fooling around with my camera settings. The stems look neon here...but they are really just green. I finished it off with some hemp twine.

Crazy Card Party-- Butterflies

I have been a bit obsessed with butterflies lately. So that's my theme this week on Crazy Card Party.

This uses the same technique I posted back in April, just different sentiment, colour scheme and orientation. I just love the way the Peerless colours are so vibrant and blend in such a cool way. I was inspired by Jill Foster.

And in case you were sick of seeing this technique, I did make another butterfly card. This time I embossed a bunch of little butterflies and watercoloured them.

I can't wait to see all the butterflies flying around this week at Crazy Card Party!

To you from me with love

This week the Simon Says Wednesday challenge is "Tie it up." I have a big stash of neglected twine so this was a great excuse to dig some out.

I filled a few of PTI's "Gracious Vases" with some WPlus9 florals using my distress markers. A big Mama Elephant sentiment and some American Crafts bakers twine finished it off.

thanks for stopping by!
